The total process takes an average of 8 to 10 weeks to complete. The first 3 weeks is spent processing the paperwork; confirming the buydown reservation with the CEC, confirming the construction process with PG&E, and getting the building permit through the local building authority. The next 1 to 2 weeks is spent actually installing the system at the site. The balance is spent waiting for PG&E to inspect and install the new net metering meter. |
